Police seek to identify suspects accused of stealing thousands of dollars in groceries – Barrie

South Simcoe police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying two suspects in connection with two suspected shoplifting incidents in Bradford.

According to police, on June 2 at around 8 p.m., a man arrived at a grocery store in the 10th Sideroad and Line 6 area in Bradford.

Police say video surveillance showed the man filling a shopping cart with groceries. Officers say the man made no attempt to pay, and left the store.

According to police, the suspect was then seen on security footage in the parking lot loading the groceries into a vehicle with the help of a second person.

Similarly, on June 18 at around 8 p.m., police say the suspect returned to the same grocery store.

Officers say the suspect once again left without paying for a large number of items, and loaded them into a vehicle with the help of a second person.

Police say the man was seen loading groceries into a car (above) with the help of another person.

According to police, the suspect returned to the grocery store a third time on June 26 at around 8 p.m., however, he left empty-handed after being scared off by employees who were watching him.

Police say on the third attempt, the suspect had shaved his head, however, he was still recognizable to staff.

Police estimate the total value of the thefts amounts to several thousand dollars.

Police are seeking to identify a suspect (above) in connection with two large grocery thefts.

Officers are looking for a man in his 40s or 50s with a medium build. He has short black curly hair and black-rimmed glasses.
